An intriguing photographic discourse about a beautiful but hard life in the mountains presented in an unconventional form with overlapping photographs. Martin Martinček a Slovak photographer, whose domain was mainly the people and landscape of his native city Liptov. After the legendary Karel Plicka, who introduced the people and landscape of the Slovak countryside in the first half of the 20th century, Martinček was another photographer with a similar feeling and orientation.
Hardcover under illustrated dust jacket, 27.5 x 24 cm, first edition, text in Slovak and French, black and white photographs, include a booklet. In very good condition other than a small bump and scratch on the jacket and a fold on the inside of the jacket (doesn't affect the book), some stains inside the book and yellowing (see pictures). Nicely design.
