We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow
Life is limited in duration, and people and death are interconnected. We cannot understand what death is or anticipate death, but we do understand that life and happiness are so fleeting and momentary. There are days when we talk about life and happiness. Why can’t we just love someone? There are always so many reasons why the people who love me—even before they die—are probably what I consider to be the embodiment of happiness. And that’s what has always saddened me—remembering Heidegger’s meaning of death: When we realize we are going to die, we fear that the negative idea of death might actually be the moment to reflect on the value and meaning of life, Still, I don’t know what I should do. Sometimes I think I can only do so with lamentation. This book is a record of my thoughts during this period.
